Two moon won't seen on 27 august 2013 !!

Yes … it’s happening again. An email is circulating – and social media is buzzing – with the suggestion that – on August 27, 2013 – Mars will appear as large as a full moon in Earth’s sky. 

SEE MARS AS LARGE AS THE FULL MOON ON 27TH AUGUST 2013. Should be spectacular! Truly a once in a lifetime experience!


One version I saw included a powerpoint presentation, suggesting that Mars and Earth’s moon will appear as a “double moon” in late August. I’ve also seen the photo below, circulating on Facebook.

It sounds amazing! Can it possibly be true?

Scientists claim that Voyager 1 left the Solar System last year

Sometimes it seems as though the Voyager 1 space probe is like a dog that can’t decide if it wants to be inside or out. A team of scientists led by the University of Maryland claim that the Voyager 1 space probe, which is now 11 billion miles (18 billion km) from Earth left the Solar System’s boundary last year and is not, as NASA claims, still passing through a transition zone. The controversial theory is based on models of the solar magnetic field on the edge of the system and how it interacts with interstellar space.
 
The controversy arises from the structure of the Solar System where it meets interstellar space. Inside, where we are, is the heliosphere, which is the area of influence where the power of the Sun dominates local space. It’s well defined and scientists have a pretty good idea as to its shape and extent.

New GPS Receiver submits Navigation Accurate To An Inch

GPS is really good at finding where people are, typically with a margin of error of just a few meters. That's fine if you're using GPS for driving directions, but if you're, say, a drone operator, you might want to navigate the sky more precisely, as a few feet can mean the difference between flying between buildings and crashing into them. Created by Swift Navigation, the Piksi (pronounced "pixie") GPS receiver could give unmanned aerial vehicles a GPS signal accurate to an inch. The project has already received nearly six times its initial funding goal on Kickstarter.
